The Return
in Kanto
The grand return of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen on Switch and Switch 2.
Nintendo has officially announced the arrival of the cult classic remakes of the Kanto region in digital format, to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary. Between nostalgia for the Game Boy Advance era and heated debates surrounding pricing, here's everything you need to know.
đ Analysis: A classic on the big screen
Originally released in 2004 on Game Boy Advance, these versions are modernized remakes of the very first games in the franchise. They feature the original storyline and all 151 first-generation Pokémon with enhanced graphics. Compatibility with Pokémon Home is also included.
The Sevii Islands , absent from the original 1996 Game Boy games, are well integrated into this Switch re-release.
